Heat-Resistant Mounting Base Plate

All of our diesel air heaters include a standard mounting plate for installation through a metal floor. However, when the floor is made of wood, plastic or any other heat-sensitive material, this additional base plate is required for safe installation.

The heat-resistant mounting base plate creates a durable and fire-safe surface that protects the floor from heat, exhaust, and fuel line contact. It allows a secure, airtight seal between the heater and the vehicle floor, ensuring both safety and long-term reliability.

Compatible with 2 kW, 5 kW and 8 kW diesel air heaters.

A key distinction lies in the heater unit itself. Nordkapp® Air Heaters are designed to meet the rigorous tests required by the ECE R122 type approval for safety. They have been laboratory tested and received ECE R122 Type Approval (E24) in the European Union.

In contrast, the widely sold Chinese diesel heaters do not meet these standards, and therefore, do not have similar approval.

ECE R122 Type Approval is mandatory for parking heaters; without this certification, the heater is illegal.
